About Us ...
Our Mission: The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International promotes professional and personal growth for women educators and excellence in education.
Our Vision: Leading Women Educators Impacting Education Worldwide
Women teachers of Sigma Chapter, Alpha Epsilon State (Indiana), welcome you! Our chapter members include all phases of education, from kindergarten and pre-school teachers, junior high and high school teachers, school nurses and administrators, to college professors. Located in western Lake County, Indiana, Sigma Chapter currently has 68 active members and six reserve members. Chartered in 1944 and a member of Council 1, we strive to follow the purposes of the The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International as well as to offer fellowship to our sisters. As women educators, we are proud to be a part of the largest international organization of its kind. During 2019 our chapter will give a grant-in-aid of $1,000 to a future woman teacher.
